With just over a week to go until entries close for the Chartered Institute of Marketing’s (CIM) ‘2015 Channel Islands Marketing Awards’, the venue for this year’s Awards ceremony has been announced.

In a new format for the inaugural pan-Channel Islands Awards, the black tie ceremony will take place at the Jersey Opera House on 20 March 2015. With a theme of ‘Luminosity’, the event will feature an ‘Oscars’ style awards ceremony, followed by a non-seated, deconstructed dining experience with a difference, and an after-party with guest DJ.

Entries for the Awards are currently open through the online entry portal at www.entercimawards.com, and will close at midnight on Friday 20 February 2015. There is no cost to entering and the format for submitting entries has been made easier than ever to enter, with entrants being asked to submit concise statistical information to reinforce their achievements and why their campaign was so successful.

Winners will be selected by a high calibre panel of judges, including Bronagh Hunt, Global Marketing Manager for Sailor Jerry; Sarah Pinch, President of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR); and Suzanne Cole, Director of Best of Wales and a Senior Lecturer in Marketing. There are ten award categories including the new ‘Marketing Team of the Year’ Award and the overall ‘Marketing Excellence’ Award, which for the first time ever the audience will be able to vote for on the night.

Steve Cartwright, Chairman of the Channel Islands CIM Branch, said:

“With a new venue and a new format, this year’s CIM Awards will showcase and celebrate the very best marketing and communications campaigns from all sectors right across Jersey and Guernsey. There are a huge number of bright thinkers and creative practitioners working across the marketing and communications professions in the Channel Islands, and our theme of ‘Luminosity’ aims to capture that energy.

“The Awards ceremony on 20 March promises to be a really enjoyable, unique event and those wanting to experience a theatrical awards ceremony like no other should book their tickets as soon as possible. I would also encourage all individuals and teams who have a campaign they are proud of to enter in good time before the closing date of 20 February.”
