The Jersey branch of The Chartered Institute of Marketing has announced the shortlisted nominees for its prestigious Marketing Excellence Awards 2011, which is being held at the Hotel de France on Friday the 16th November.

In total, 40 entries have been shortlisted in 8 Award categories, with 1 category identifying the shortlist and winner on the night itself.

Judging took place on the 1st November and this year’s judging panel included Nicola Clark, Head of Features at Marketing Magazine, Ed Kemp, who is the co-founder of Westworth Kemp Events which now runs the UKs largest mass-participation sports and music festivals, and Richard Holmes, Marketing Director at Specsavers

The judges stated that: “The quality of this year’s entries has been very high and the judges were particularly impressed with the breadth and sophistication of work submitted. It is clear that the tough economic conditions faced by organisations over the past few years has forced local marketers to be more innovative, resourceful and creative than ever before. We thank all those who entered and offer our congratulations to the shortlisted nominees.”

The winners of the Awards will be announced at a Gala Dinner held on Friday 16th November at the Hotel de France, where over 500 of the Island’s marketers and business professionals will gather to celebrate local marketing excellence.
