Since being granted the authority to award Chartered Marketer status by The Queen’s Privy Council in 1998; the number of Chartered Marketers in Jersey has soared according to the latest statistics provided by the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
Over the last 12 months, findings have concluded that the number of individuals accredited with Chartered status has significantly increased in comparison to previous years. Jersey now has 31 Chartered Marketers working in the public and private sector at a variety of levels, ranging from middle management to managing directors.
In order to achieve Chartered Marketer status, individuals must hold either Member (MCIM) or Fellow (FCIM) status with The Chartered Institute of Marketing and complete two consecutive years of 35 hours continuous professional development (CPD).
Steve Cartwright, Chairman of the Jersey branch and Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Marketing, commented; “It is fantastic to see that marketers in the Island are committed to developing and refining their skills by pursing Chartered status. By achieving this status, employers can gain comfort that the marketers’ background and knowledge of the discipline should facilitate in adding real value to their organisation.”
