On Friday the 15th November 2013, The Chartered Institute of Marketing Jersey branch announced the winners of the marketing excellence awards. The event, which took place at the Hotel de France, included over 400 business leaders and marketing professionals covering all sectors of the Jersey economy.

Hosted by Abandoman, an Irish double act and winner of the of Hackney Empire New Act of the Year, the Musical Comedy Awards and the 2012 Adelaide Fringe Festival’s Best Comedy Newcomer Award, Abandoman creates hilarious freestyle songs at lightning speed based on audience suggestions. The Irish double act announced the winners in each of the 8 categories which included:

  • Best Brand Campaign sponsored by 4insight – Liberty Bus
  • Best Use of PR – Jersey Finance
  • Best Use of Media sponsored by The Jersey Evening Post – Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust
  • Marketing Achievement on a Small Budget sponsored by Jersey Post – The Beauty House
  • International Marketing Award – HSBC Expat
  • Best Integrated Marketing Campaign sponsored by Blue Islands – States of Jersey Police
  • Judge’s Choice Award – Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust
  • Student Marketer of the Year – Nathaniel Robson

Steve Cartwright, Chairman of the Jersey branch of the Chartered Institute of Marketing commented “it was a marvellous night made possible by a wonderful team of volunteers from the CIM committee and a truly fantastic group of loyal sponsors. Marketing excellence was absolutely evident during the evening and the chance for people to see more of the shortlisted entries was important for us this year.”
